A story of
NEVER...EEK

Meet john

John is the owner of the shop in NW10 that is full to the brim (literally) with various treasures.

I have asked him for a summary of his life for this bio and he said 'it doesn't matter what I have done, it only matters what I am doing now'. I said, 'yeah but John you have had a fascinating life the things you have told me that you have done. Like all the travelling you have done, that you used to be a roofer, that you used to do removals from homes and sell items, that you used to do all sorts of things.'

What I can tell you is that John lives the maxim of caring about the environment. He absolutely hates waste. It drives him barmy. You will find him picking up cans and rubbish from his street or any others he happens to go down on a daily basis. On a daily basis he will gather food that is being thrown out by businesses and take it all to feed the foxes and birds. On a daily!! As he is going through the things people throw away he finds new treasures to sell like Dior boots and Burberry shoes. He cares more about recycling and actually doing something about it, than anyone I know.

He wants to sell things from his shop but he says nobody stops anymore (he has a table out front occasionally) and nobody buys much anymore. This online shop is an opportunity for him to reach a bigger audience of people who want to buy what he has in stock.

Meet sam
Now, you may have wondered who 'I' am. I am a good Samaritan who met John a year or 2 ago. I told him I was selling for people on eBay and offered to help him out. We have sold a few things together. I then got very enthused about (& a bit obsessive about) the prospect of actually 'entering' his shop. I have lived in the area for 25 years or so and I have always pined about the shop. Always stared in the window at the various displays and wished I could set foot in it. I told John: 'you are a community treasure, everyone in this area knows about your shop'.

It doesn't really matter who I am it matters who John is...for purposes of this site let's just call me 'Sam' (short for good Samaritan).

I am all about helping John out. Also, getting in his shop. :) That's it. John is very old-school, he doesn't have a smartphone, he has never gone on a website by himself or knew what one was until I explained.

I am hoping that the community & wider online community will come together and help John out by buying stuff that they want that he doesn't anymore. Also fulfil my goal which is actually setting foot (having many feet) in his shop!
